Equilibrium Poem by Jerry Buckley

Equilibrium

Thank God for grandbabies
And things that draw people together
Like hot pot-luck Sundays
And parades through nice weather

Praise him for fall football
For plump cheerleaders and lousy bands
Grateful to have played a part
This world still wobbling in his hands

Echos through the stadium
Forbid it inconvenience our ears
Or upset our equilibrium
What's been granted us all these years
