Escape Poem by Stephen Martin II

Escape

Deception slow beginning
It's a building up of lies
Everyday I must relive this
Reasons I choose to die

It starts off with raindrops
That quickly become waves
Then it rips with force-destruction
and it ends with perceived escape

But I can't seem to stop it
This will not be my escape
Instead I wander 'round in circles
Until I memorize this maze

I hope one day when I'm wiser
One day when I feel safe
I will realize life's meaning
and finally find escape
