Escapist Poem by Sudipta Bhattacharyya

Escapist

I entered the darkest room,
My heart yearned for exuberant joys,
I expected there would be lots of merriment,
Eagerly I waited for fragrance of sweet flowers,
The scent of the hairs of my Lady
Just bathed in the shower,
Alas! All my desires had suddenly shattered.

Coming out of that room I realized
I was searching next to nothing.
My returning from that escapaism
Was a trauma for me;
Yet my mundane world seems
To me now better! !
