Eternity Poem by Nikhaar Shah

Eternity

The winds reminding my mortal,
Sands slipping from my feet,
The turbulent waters immortal,
Conquered by human elite;

The roads sprawling within terra,
Each gestating millions in story,
Bearing chronicles of the millennia,
Dominated by human glory;

The nebulae existing since eternity,
Humbly glowing across the night,
Never conquered citing profundity,
Ceaselessly depicting inconceivable might;

Yet, I assert hope,
Desire too much as to compete,
Believing avarice merely separates,
Me from perpetual retrieve.
