Eulogy for my best friend

My beloved friend
I'll always remember
The day we met
The day our lives were forever entwined
You came through my door so young
Wild eyed just wanting to have fun

Right off the bat I knew we'd get along
You would lie by my side, my bed, the couch, the floor
You were always there for me even when I was in the wrong
You always lent a listening ear
And helped calm my worst fear

Now all I wish is that we had many more seasons
I will never forget, the many reasons
That you where my beloved companion
I miss you my furry four legged friend
