Eulogy To Aidan Cain Poem by Mater Umbrarum

Eulogy To Aidan Cain

They tore my heart
When they felled my star
How do I bear to part
From whom you are?

For you were waves in the ocean
The constant movement of the sea
You brought to life the very notion
Of unconditional tranquility

Now the night is never ending
Moonless and dreary, empty
Of all attempt of ever sending
Back to you, my love aplenty

But neither the cold nor the dark
Could dim in me the reckless spark
Of desire to worship your memory
The restless remainder of you and me

So I'll wait, my ghostly Prince
Hold in my quivering lips a prayer
I'll prove my faith until I see a glimpse
That even eyeless, you are there

I've always believed, and I'll always do
Although undying, this eulogy is for you
That even with my words being few
Beyond the end, you'd know I always love you.

I love you…my little miracle. Now and ever. Believe.
