European Memories Poem by Brian Sonberg

European Memories

It could be me
Why shouldn't it be me
I have a hand
That fits your hand

Alone on this street
Why shouldn't we be
Set free
Minds release the heart

This is not a place
For being alone
But it changes us
Not just here but there

And what will we be there
Upon return
Will we forget our times
Go back to alone

I wish to keep the other
State of mind
A European one
Where I can stay happy
