Eva's Eyes Poem by Weldon Davis

Eva's Eyes

She sees things in people
That they do not see
In themselves
Eva's eyes

Bright like fresh ideas
Or a sun ray

No telling the importance
Of something she might say
Today
That'll carry over til
Tomorrow's tomorrow comes

So much truth
In what she says
At her young age so wise

To see what I've
Been missing
God bless
Eva's eyes

For they have seen things
I've been turning away from
So long

She helped me see
I'm worthy of love

Forgiven for my wrongs
In a simple gesture

By saying
I love you Weldon
-And-
Drawing me a picture
