There is a leaf
hopping up and down on my balcony
between trickles of water
and the whispers of the wind
on a rainy day
distracted by the sun.
It comes near me
graceful in its movements
and hovers delicately,
circling me.
Maybe it has come
to ask me to dance.
I will be a leaf
if it wants
I will take it
if it asks
we will dance
until the night falls
we will sleep together
until it blows away.
