I used to hate love,
It meant nothing to me.
Just a load of bad thoughts,
And a mistake I now see.

It's different now,
As the words come from you.
When you say it,
The meaning is true.

It was different with him,
They were just words,
It was something I said,
Not something I often heard.

You go out your way,
To show that you care.
You say my heart.
You'll never tear.

I hope that you mean it,
And keep what you say.
Or it will be me,
Who will have to walk away.
