Every Kind Word Poem by Savva Emanon

Every Kind Word

The dawn does not ask permission
before it paints the sky with gold.
It simply arrives...
radiant, generous, unashamed of its light.
And so should you.

For too long you have measured your worth
against impossible horizons,
counting your flaws like fallen leaves
while forgetting the roots that held you strong
through every season of becoming.

The truth is this:
You are worthy of love before you achieve another thing.
Worthy of kindness before you prove yourself again.
Worthy of rest without earning it.
Worthy of joy without apology.

The mountains do not question their beauty.
The rivers do not seek approval as they flow.
The stars do not dim themselves
to make the night more comfortable.
Why then should you?

Sit quietly for a moment
at the window of your own soul.
Watch the sunlight spill across your life.
Notice how much you have survived.
Notice how many storms have passed through you
without extinguishing your fire.

Speak gently to the one within,
the heart that has carried every burden,
the spirit that has risen after every disappointment,
the child who still longs to hear:

'You are enough.'
Not tomorrow.
Not when everything is fixed.
Not when the world finally understands you.
Now!

May you offer yourself every ounce of love,
every measure of loyalty,
every tender and healing word
you so freely give to others.

And when you do, you will discover that the light
you have been seeking has never lived beyond the horizon.

It has been waiting,
patiently and faithfully,
within you all along.
