Every Love Story Poem by Fritzie Abella

Every Love Story

Every love story beholds forever
Love's a riveting tale of timeless wonders
Some are meant for happy endings
While ours suffered in sudden farewell

Our love was bliss, a poignant curse
It brought us joy and hope then tears
'T was as thrilling as puzzles unsolved
As fragile as the lies untold

Amid the silence were lingering questions:
Can our love conquer all tests and flares?
What if the dream will soon be over?
Will you escape or hold my hand still?

But in the end, still love prevailed
Despite its piercing twists and turns
We still gambled in spite of flaws
In spite of naked doubts and woes

'You and me' was an ephemeral beauty
Tomorrow's too blurry to grasp and gain
Goodbye was said in excruciating pain
We locked ourselves in chains of blames

I cowardly picked the easy way out
I pushed you away; I never looked back
Though I blindly ran away from your side
I love you still
I never gave up

Our love story didn't last forever
But our love was real, that's all that matters
Perhaps someday we'll meet again
I will wait
I will see you then
