Every Night - Poem by devils cab greeter

Every Night
Though my eyes are shut tight,
I lie awake through the night.
Even though I’ve gone to bed,
A million thoughts race through my head.
Every night I try my best,
But my mind won’t be at rest.
Sometimes I stare at the ceiling,
Trying to rid myself of all feeling.
Why can’t I let go?
