Every Time Poem by Cheyenne Watkins

Every Time

This doesn't feel right.
I think I acted too soon.
Because every time I look at him,
I wish I was looking at you.
Every time I laugh with him,
I wish I was laughing with you.
Every time I talk to him,
I wish I was talking to you.
I feel lower than dirt,
Depressed,
Lost,
Forgotten,
Hiding behind a brick wall.
I think only one man
Has the key to my heart.
I think only one man
Will ever have it.
And that man is you.
Because every time I miss you,
I see only him.
Every time I want to kiss you,
Only he is waiting.
Everytime I want to say 'I love you, '
I want to mean it,
But only he will be there.
Only he.
Only he.
Not you.
