Everybody Clap Your Hands Poem by Griffen Wilson

Everybody Clap Your Hands

Second day of 5th grade was where it all started.
On the swing getting higher than the clouds,
Singing songs like its my job
Thinking, woodchips were evil fire.
The air rushing in my face like fans on a hot summer day.
Everything was glamorous until…
I clapped my hands,
I thought it was all over.
I flew as if I was a flying creature.
The evil woodchips were not concrete,
Only thing in front of me was my arms.
Doc said I had 6 months in casts.
5th grade just started and now its over.
2 arms with 2 casts
