Everything Is Sleep But Me - Poem by Jaycee Wilkerson

A silent night
Not a creature moving
Why can't sleep

Even with a pill
All i would do is chill
Wide a woke
This is no joke

Staring at others
Envying there peace
In reality this is my peace
A time when all noise is ceased
A time when all inter feelings
Can be released

Maybe I was wrong
You may be sleep
But that doesn't mean
Your at peace

As for me my body is relaxed
My mind is cleared
I sleep when others are stressing
This is called day time

I dont have that problem
I come alive at night time
This is when i think
This is when i hear
My thoughts really loud

On silent nights
Nights when a creature
Is not moving
You better believe Jaycee
Is up somewhere grooving
To thoughts.... that is....... lol
