Everywhere
Thru a frozen winter forest
I followed a path to the
beginning of the sea
I was searching for solitude
but you wouldn’t leave me
I inhaled the ocean’s breath and
tasted the salt of your skin
I turned my face to the sun
The sun became your eye
I touched the damp sand
and felt the nape of your neck
I spoke your name
You answered
With kisses of ice wind
An audience of trees applauded

I really like this one, Brioney. I know that when I first started writing poetry, I was the motivating force in all of my work...Jefferson and others here encouraged me to work toward universality...I try...again...I'm a science major, so...poetry is on the periphery...but I know what I like, and I like this one. Nice job.
