Executioner's Verse



Life is both a game of skill and chance
Not unlike a game of cards and consequence
Signified, not merely that which is dealt
Moreover, how such is dealt with thence.
But how unlike a game there is no set of rules
And how unlike a game it has no trial run
And how unlike a game it is the only one
And now…
It is done.
