Exile Poem by David Welch

Exile

I feel the warm winds blowing,
I hear their drunken cries,
hear the soft women's voices
from the world I let behind.
The mad lust is still running,
feel it seethe at me inside,
these little demons trying
to take me on one more ride.

You don't know what it means to me,
'cause I'm an exile,
it tempts like the devil on a spree,
'cause I'm an exile,
see those goddesses of the night,
blinded by that bright red light.
just one taste and I'd go wild,
because I am an exile.

See the hot bodies falling
to beds of skin so soft,
feel the touch of things gone by,
something has been lost.
The urges growing stronger,
fight so hard to hold on,
damn the thousand memories,
just make it to the dawn!

You don't know what it means to me,
'cause I'm an exile,
it tempts like the devil on a spree
'cause I'm an exile,
see those goddesses of the night,
blinded by that bright red light,
just one taste and I'd go wild,
because I am an exile.
