Experience Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Experience

My Know-how
Enlightens
The present life
A variety of
Expertise of
Even and odds
Of several lives
Of the past
The myths go on
A new born infant
Thus, can’t be
An innocent
Hauling
An intense weight
Of inner tumult
Hectic tempests
Whirlpools
So strong and
The live storms
Of the past
In the present
As safe as
Its past with it.

Endeavoring
To plunge into
The ocean
Of its future
The adulthood
Though-
Its soul as ancient
As the creation
Yet, mortal frame
Of latest brand
With experience
Of rich ups
And downs.

The passage
Of time
Discovering
This colourful
World
As useless
And waste
Thereafter
Developing
A peculiar
Distaste
In quest for
Undefined.

No formal
Edification
Yet-
No language
Of the kind
Not essential
To comprehend
And define.

Universe
Replete
With properties
Although-
Ways and means
Differ and change
Delusion
Comes across
The way
To physical gains
Futile, it seems
The fervor
Of the Church
The Temple
And the Masjid.

But-
A ray of light
Of His innocence
Quite enough
To remove
The darkness
Within as found
And all around.
