Explanation Poem by William LouisDreyfus

Explanation

God must mean for us to reason
that the flower first in bloom,
taut and shining, is not altered
even in its dying season.
God's the present ever missing
till we meet it when we die.
Life's the ambush of tomorrow
and the sorrow of goodbye.
