Explore Me - Poem by Dava Makiah

You want to Explore me
and I think that sounds nice
But I'm not easy and I won't
How far i've come
Just to fall in Love
One beautiful lifetime
next to you
could lead to a lot of regret
If i pawned off sleepless nights'
on a pillow
on a bed
lying there next to your head

But if you can
keep the thread
be supportive instead
Baby, I'll hold it tight
Because my eye does not wander
to all things of glitter and gold
to all those promises spoken
from lips
that are cold
and hearts even more so as well
so tell me
How does this go?
So you tell me
How does this go?
