Eyes In Heaven Poem by Rodney Rod Smith

Eyes In Heaven

As i lay upon thy blanket.
The blanket of Depair i wonder why
i never have been anywhere.
The moon, star, sky and me
just wondering how could it be?
With the wind swarming around my face
not a thing out of place.
The sky will always be there
the birds and the trees,
I feel so lucky alive and me.
I have learnt to survive
on my blanket near my face.
I have now a moment
i will always remember with grace.
That time will always be the moment
of truth. to see the sky,
and wonder it will laways be.
bring a tear in my eye.
The moment i know i will enjoy this life,
forever in the morning and the starry moon lit night.
