Eyes Locked. Poem by Miki Byrne

Eyes Locked.

Eyes Locked.

Eyes locked. Hands ready.
Co-ordination honed.
Weapons chosen.
Death celebrated by graphic starbursts,
thunderous noise. Virtual reality.
An unknown land where minds journey.
In control of every pursuit.
Death of the enemy a prize sought after.
Military, monsters, aliens, jailbreaks.
All the same story of chase and destroy.
Lifting people out of this world.
All that stays behind, is their money.
