Eyes Of Pride Poem by Arnab Kalita

Eyes Of Pride

Rating: 4.5

Cracking my shell, , , ,
The first push of my open eyes.
Dragging myself out.
Out in this cruel, killing green.
Taking the strength from my mothers beak,
With care for me the son of her.
But no.......
No...... i have to drag myself to survive.
Survive through this air...
Through this green...
I leapt from high above....
Above from the killing height......
Tickling feathers trying to hold my balance.............
M falling now....
I fall, i fall and m falling still......
But a no again.....
I have to survive........................
Not only for me but myself.
I leapt again.
Ya, i did leapt.....
I did that......
I was in my own wings now........................
My own wings holding me...
I feared heights......
But no not anymore....
I now see the green below me.....
Me touching the smoky clouds, ..
Below me the blue sparkling carpet....
I fly above them.....
Ya i do....... And m still flying....
Now i dive, i dive long heights....
But not with fear,
But with mere excitement.
Not again coz i know it.....
But, ya i’ll learn more......
More dips n more dives......
I am considered an eagle now.
Flying high above the clouds......
With my own birds eye view all around...
With my eyes, i feel proud.......
My eyes of PRIDE......
