F**k Buddies Poem by Sarah Elizabeth Clark

F**k Buddies

I was bored enough
to ruin our friendship,
slip naked into the sheets
and take him to bed.
"We will not love"
that's what we both said.
But I knew well enough
that one of us was a liar.
And that fire
only consumes.
Reduced to ashes,
me and you.

never saw it written that way....nice lines a rather fatalistic and nihilistic view of a most beautiful relationship old age monks priests and sufis are said to have put themselves through some psycho calisthenics to prove themselves..but.....common every day people... why....? any way...liked
