Façade Poem by Cara B. Bit

Façade

Across the window sill
Behind the pane of glass,
I wonder if
You glanced within,
Will you see it?

Outside the open shutters
The sun reflects brilliant
Off the stucco wall.
The sunlight does little
To brighten the room within.

Window boxes planted
In days of early spring
Overflow their spicy scent.
In summers heat,
Those beneath pass unknowing.
