Faasla - Poem by Surjit Paatar

Iss tarah hai jis tarah din raat vichla faasla
Meriyan reejhaan meri aukaat vichla faasla

lafz taa saau bahut ne, ya khuda banya rahe
meryan lafzaan mere jazbaat vichla faasla

haan main aape hi kiha si honth sucche rakhne
haaye par iss pyaas te uss baat vichla faasla

'je bahut hi pyaas hai taa met devaan' uss kiha
rishtyan te rishtyan de ghaat vichla faasla

dharm hai, ikhlaak hai, kanoon hai, eh kaun hai
meryan birkhaan teri barsaat vichla faasla

uss diyan gallan suno ki rang ki ki roshni
haaye par kirdaar te gallbaat vichla faasla

zehar da pyaala mere hothaan te aa ke ruk gya
reh gya mere ate sukraat vichla faasla
