Faces In The Screen Poem by ashok jadhav

Faces In The Screen

I see myself reflected in the glass,
A thousand mirrors lit with fleeting light.
Each image shifts, reshaped by unseen hands,
Each post, each word, a mask I do not own.
The self becomes a ledger of display,
Measured by likes, by scrolls, by silent gaze.
The mind grows wary, questioning its shape,
For what is true when all is filtered, framed?
Connections pulse, yet never touch the heart,
And recognition hides behind a screen.
I wonder if the soul can find its voice,
Or if it drifts, a phantom in the feed.
Yet somewhere, faint, the core persists unseen,
A spark that cannot be entirely shared.
Identity, though tested, bends but holds,
Awaiting moments when the light is real,
And human depth breaks through the coded mask,
Revealing what endures beyond the frame.
