Facing Fear Poem by robyn selters

Facing Fear

fear is like the wind
chills the countenance
yet not really there

shadows of fright
shake the spirit
until I don’t care

numbness invades
losing the self
that I can’t bear

banish the fear
so sparkle returns
with something to share
