Faded Lovers Poem by Muhammad Sakib

Faded Lovers

Rating: 5.0

Fighting of the faded lovers
Where are we going from here?
When nothing goes planned out
We know we've fallen apart
But won't admit it this time or just forever

Oceans away
You stay
But is it wrong
For me to want more
When you reach our shore

You say your hands are tied yet you give it all
So why did you make my eyes and heart
Set to rock or stone
As I cannot sleep tonight

Thinking…

Where are you?
For there isn't a star on the sky above my shore
As I stand here in a complete blackout
This strange darkness
Eating me inside
As I know our faded hearts are still breathing
Although in contrast rhythms
Just like the indecision to call you
And tell you to come and stop this pain
As what I wouldn't give for just a moment to hold you on
Then again you forced the shadow of my body
To want to pull close and round another's arms

I know how time brought us close together
And now wants us to let go
As nothing is permanent
For the better or the worse

You feel safer to let me go away
So why fade my or our hearts with this feeling of delay?
As you had all of me that you wanted
But thought of only your own way.
