Failing Pride Poem by Marianne Keplinger

Failing Pride

Seasons are changing

However leaves remain stained

It is raining but water is dry

Invisible but clearly to be seen

No turning back

So, where now can she be?

Hidden and shamed

Choices are unclear

Complicated and true

Should she risk it?

Her untamed heart in the midst

Sparks begin to unwind

That litlte girl from outside

The woman she tries to be

Scared of scars to be revealed

Unanswered questions linger underneath the lies

She cries out of, but no one hears

Deep deep breaths and then sighs

Is this right in her eyes?

Challenging love and Fighting to be free.
