Fairy Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Fairy

'Shall I touch your wings? '
Seated on a rock with
eyes shut she was lost
listening the exuberant tides.
'Shall I....'
Her wings shivered a bit.
A slight smile of approval.
and I moved my hand, touched
the electrifying softness
of the pinkish feathers.
I knew her habit of sudden
disappearing and swishing
away, leaving only flapping
sound linger...
'Don't go...' I begged.
She opened her eyes wide
and turned her face to me.
My heart tingled!
'I care for you..
like a caring father'
I whispered. She shut her
eyes, raised wings to fly but
slowly lowered them resting
on her back.
A sudden roaring breaker
blinding the vision and
the air was filled with the
flapping sound of the wings
