Fairyland Poem by Aden Zincke

Fairyland

Whispering softly, rustles through the leaves
Music floating on the air mysteriously
Hidden beats and fluttering wings appear
Out in plain sight but nobody hears
Tiny steps and golden light traces where you are
Wishing on a Fairytale, wishing on a star
Turn away from watching eyes, see you disappear
Coaxing children as from their mothers lure
Them into Fairyland, Lull them to a dream
Past the sunken Oak tree, past the dying stream
Over the shrunken mushroom cove, under the last reed stand
Open their eyes with faery dust, open to Fairyland
Mischievous and tricky, filled with fun and fair
Under grown and proudly, Knights and Maidens dear
House upon a leaf branch, bathed in flower dew
Open your eyes to Fairies open them up anew
See the Weeping Willow, meet the Queen and King
See their tiny Kingdom all gold and blue and green
Open your eyes from dreaming into reality
Fairyland was always there and will forever be.
