Fairytale Poem by Rose Marie Cook

Fairytale

Thinking of you
I start to cry
Thinking of you
My heart sighs

Tears crash down
One by one
Pictures of you
Flash on and on

Your warmth all gone
Your picture fading
Your touch so cold
I am waiting

Waiting for the day
You say you love me
Waiting for the day
You'll be here

I feel so empty
Without you beside me
I feel so lost
Without my hand on yours

The plane has landed
My heart leaps frantically
I search the croud
You're no where to be found

My heart slows
Starts to die
My eyes fill
Worried, I cry

But then you are here
And hold me close
Your sweet embrace
The one I love

Your smile loving
You hold my hand
You kneel down
With a little black box

My heart racing,
Faster than the clock
You tell me that you love me
You say you'll always be there

You tell me
You'll always return
If I just say yes
I'll be yours

The moment slows
And I think to myself
In your arms forever
Is that my home?

I smile shyly
And answer honestly
Forever with you
Is all I ask

You stand so tall
Embrace me gladly
Kiss me passionately
And say I am your life

This is my fairytale
My happy ending
True loves first kiss, And
My happily ever after, with my prince.
