Faith Poem by Loma Marjorie Cook

Faith

Oh now, in winter's beautiful time,
I love the evergreen the pink
That harbors securely little birds and me.
I crave the harbor of each tree.
Other trees whose branches, though bare they seem,
Holding sweet life within cold limb,
Teach me, by example, what I must do
To withstand outer storms that brew
Malignancy, tenor, fears of life.
My very soul is threshed with strife,
And tossed and torn-when Faith unveils
A ladder; steps through eternal trails.
And as e seek the Lord in prayer
My heart is warmed by his constant care.
