Walking through the dark, blind as can be
listening to all the creepy noises around me
I continue to walk, but I know not where I go
I keep walking because I was told to do so
Over fallen trees in the dead of night
hearing bats and owls take flight
a strangers voice whispered to me
telling me not to be naive
following you would lead me no where
trying to tell me that you didn't care
offering me immortality
if to him i plead my loyalty
my eyes started to bleed
heart raced with intensive speed
suddenly for the first time, you spoke to me
your voice seemed to set me free
'Life is but a trial, not a game
to live forever would be a shame
never allowed to complete the trial
would not make living worth while'
With those words said I bowed my head
and swore off the words of what evil was said
accepting my fate you showed me the way
now my trail is bright as day.
