Faith Says 'I Can' Poem by Nosisa Mdladlamba

Faith Says 'I Can'

Though my circumstances tell me a different story,
Faith says ‘Only believe'
Though my own abilities make my heart to fear,
Faith says ‘Believe' and ‘Do not be afraid'
Though beaten up and stripped of all,
Faith says ‘I am rich'
Though wearied by my fruitless toiling with nothing yet to show,
Faith says ‘Try again'
Though mocked and laughed at
Faith says ‘Hold your head up high'
Though I have nothing yet to show from my own efforts
Faith says ‘When you have me you can have it all.'
Just believe that ‘I can'.
Have faith.
