Faithful Is He Who Called You Poem by Mary Wismer

Faithful Is He Who Called You

Rating: 5.0

Faithful is He who called you

Nevertheless my loving-kindness
will I not utterly take from him,
nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
My covenant will I not break,
nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

God is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness,
But is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish
But for all to come to repentance.
But the day will come like a thief,
In which the heavens will pass away
With a roar and the elements will be destroyed
With intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way,
What sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness?
Looking for and hastening the coming of the day,
Because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning,
And the elements will melt with intense heat!

Mary, the Lord is always true to His promise. We only have to yield and ask Him and he listens. What a wonderful message you have conveyed here. Continue to bring God's message. He will be with you to guide you all the way.
