Fake, Insecure, Broken Poem by meghan mcluvin

Fake, Insecure, Broken

Rating: 4.3

Open your eyes
What do you see?
A thousand faces all wise
But non of them free
Fake, insecure, broken

Look at her walking, she tries
She looks so bright
But what goes on behind the disguise?
Nothing but hidden night
Depression, loneliness, scars

She’s looking despairful
Being watched smugly
Does she realize she’s beautiful?
No because she was told she was ugly
Bullying, fighting, tears

Running from the world in tears
It hurt her too much
Living hostile with fears
Never been given the soft touch
Hurting, powerless, shamed
