Fake Smile Poem by Jessica Andress

Fake Smile

Just another day,
Starts off the same.
Wake up with a frown,
Boy was I a clown.
Thinking u loved me,
When u loved her not me.
You wonder if I’m ok,
Truth is ill never be the same.
Since that day in February,
You said you loved Lacey.
I can never compare,
Now I get dirty stares.
I have facing this world with a smile,
I hope the pain will go a way in a while.
Until then just know,
I loved u more then I can show.
So I hope u can sleep at night,
Knowing I can’t turn out the light.
Darkness makes me think of you,
See all that you’re putting me through.
Why couldn’t you have said from the start,
That lacey will always have your heart.
Maybe then I could understand you,
Because knowing I can’t have you is something I can’t live through.
Once again I’ll wake,
Hoping you realize this smile is completely fake.
