Faking Everyday Poem by Prince ....

Faking Everyday

Walking in the halls,
I smile strongly,
I laugh loudly,
All the while,
I'm breaking inside.
I'm indeed broken,
Not worth the mention,
My death could make the world a better place.
Who knew my heart was so tattered?
Who knew with all the crying, kicking, and screaming,
That no one noticed the flaws,
The pain,
The hurt,
That flashed across my face every few days.
Hurting so bad,
Walking off the pounds I barely managed to gain,
I walk to the park.
Surrounded by trees,
And in my mind I can see the ropes hanging from them,
Rustling in the breeze.
I climb the giant tree,
My heart sews together,
As I lay on the branch,
Connected with nature.

And the next day,
I continue faking the smiles,
The laughs.

I'm Faking Everyday with a smile as Fake as my tattered heart.
