Once fall appears I always
Drag out my decorations
So many fun-filled items
Oh, I love the unique creations
Scarecrows with colorful patches
Straw-stuffed little faces
Hats sitting askew atop heads
I put them in so many places
Pumpkins real and imitation
I love to sit them all around
Small ones placed on furniture
Large ones plopped on the ground
Vases filled with bright foliage
Veggies hanging from the stems
Mums picked from my garden
I consider them my fall time gems
Orange candles brighten the tables
I have baskets and dishes liberally
With potpourri so spicy and fragrant
So delicious the smell is to me
I hope you too have fall decorations
And enjoy the smells and the sights
For Mother Nature will turn us to winter
As fall will suddenly take flight!
