We fell in love beneath October skies,
where amber leaves came drifting down,
and every sunset seemed to hold
a little more of you around.
The wind was cold, but somehow still,
your hand in mine felt warm enough.
Among the trees and fading light,
I learned that autumn could be love.
The leaves turned gold, the evenings grew,
and stars appeared before the night.
But nothing changed as beautifully
as the way you made my world feel right.
So if the seasons come and go,
and winter takes the leaves away,
I'll still remember how we fell—
in love, on an ordinary day.
