Fallen Poem by Chelsea AAA

Fallen

Your presence is still here,
But your heart can not pump
Though I still hear,
About all of your ups

That last day you spent,
Not thinking about yourself
Only wanting a victory,
To keep everyone safe

You always wanted,
To be like your hero
The one who protected,
Just one city only

But you wouldn't,
Just take one
You had to take all,
You had to be STRONG

The sound of the cries,
Of the people who loss
That couldn't bear to rise,
At the twenty one salute

The one who has fallen,
Can never come back
Through everything he's done,
All nineteen acts.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is dedicated to my cousin who was in the war in Iraq and killed when he was 19 years old. He only wanted to be like his 'hero' who was his father.
