Fallen Poem by ezzabell fanning

Fallen

a guardian angel has fallen
crippled but unscathed
cracked but unseen scars
only deep within.
a hand reached out
opening a box of regrets
epiphany pushed to start
i lost you and can't get you back.
a heart, broken
multiplied by two, you and i
in the same direction, i take two steps forward
you multiply it by two, to the back.
i want to reach out and call
but afraid you'll sprint
eventhough there isn't a difference
as the gap becomes longer, narrower, darker.
now, i can't do anything
crippled and paralyzed
i just watch you slip away
i try to let go, and its killing me.
at this moment,
i despise you because your all i can think of,
at this moment,
a despise you because i realized too late how much i love you.
