Falling Poem by Aimee Nell

Falling

This is more of a song than a poem. And I'm very sorry if it sucks; it was my first attempt at a song.
-
You're falling,
And I can't save you now.
I might as well give it up,
Before I lose it all.

So long I was alone,
Before you came along,
And changed it all.
I felt so whole,
Never doubted myself.
You believed in me.

But now you're falling,
And I can't save you now.
I might as well give it up,
Before I lose it all.

You, you were always there for me.
Right beside me.
Ready to catch me when I fall.
Oh, how I wanted to be the one,
The one to catch you.

But now you're falling,
And I can't save you now.
I might as well give it up,
Before I lose it all.

You're gone now.
And nothing I ever do can change that.

How could I let you fall?

But now you've fallen,
And I couldn't save you.
I should have given up,
Before I lost it all.
