The day we met was a beautiful disaster,
Spending every minute together we filled them with laughter,
It was love, the words did not need to be spoken,
Otherwise our perfect silence would have been broken.

Spending time with him I knew it wasn't right,
But you never put up a fight
When he left my heart was torn,
We had grown farther away than a rose and It's thorn.

They followed you, they stalked you, those girls that had once mocked you,
Now it was my turn to be jealous,
Their pursuit for you was rather relentless.

Days went by and nights grew colder as we both started to get older,
Now there is, was, and forever will be a gap between us,
Because of me, because of you, because of all that we've been through.
