Falling Into Hope Poem by Nick Downer

Falling Into Hope

Falling from a world of blue,
Into a hole of black and gray.
Going through in silent motions,
Just making it through each day.
Falling from a broken dream,
Into the arms of air,
And no one's there to pick me up,
No one's there to care.
Falling from the face of love,
Like silent, unwept tears.
Walking through a dizzy maze,
With walls of broken mirrors.
There's no way to get back up,
Unless someone throws a rope,
And that's how I will make it through,
By living off my hope.
