Falling Star Poem by Victor Geld

Falling Star

There is no laughter_
Only the grin of the night creatures
One can feel the soul being corrupted;
Consumed by the monsters in the unconscious
One feels not shame but fear
One wills for nothing but to hang
To be set free from the despair;

Yes it drills deep holes into the heart
T'is the utter renunciation of the vestiges of hope_
The exposed nakedness of humanity
Cut in half like a fish left for drying
And so one proceeds into the deepest darkness
One is left hopeless by the shores of_
this sea that is unknowable;

One waits for all to see
One waits for something to help
One waits for the light of the world;
The fire that ignites in the cold
An angel with comforting wings,
To soothe his weeping heart
